Go from a simple question to a synthesized summary with citations in under 2 hours.

The traditional way would involve days of searching databases, downloading PDFs, highlighting text, and manually typing up notes. I wanted to see if AI could collapse that entire process.

I started by typing my broad topic into the “Discover” search bar: What is the impact of remote work on employee well-being?

The tool immediately returned a list of highly relevant papers, complete with AI-generated summaries for each one. This was already faster than skimming abstracts on Google Scholar. I could quickly see which papers focused on burnout, which focused on work-life balance, and which were meta-analyses.

It correctly identified the overarching themes—that remote work offers flexibility but also poses risks for burnout and isolation—and it automatically included the citations.

My honest grade for the writing is a B-. It was a bit generic, but it was grammatically correct, logically structured, and saved me from the terror of the blank page. It provided the scaffolding I could then edit and add my own critical voice to.


This is the most important part. An AI tool that saves you time but gives you wrong information is worse than useless.
