Maharashtra makes history by announcing India’s first-ever Artificial Intelligence university, forming a 22-member expert taskforce including leaders from Google India and Mahindra. The groundbreaking initiative, aligned with PM Modi’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, aims to transform the state into a global AI hub through research centers and industry partnerships. Led by IT Minister Ashish Shelar, this university will focus on advanced AI education, skill development, and technological innovation, creating a new generation of AI leaders and entrepreneurs. The expert team, featuring renowned scientist Dr. Anil Kakodkar and key representatives from IIT institutions, will submit their comprehensive recommendations within a month.
